In the second quarter of 2025, the top travel and local apps on the Android platform in Algeria demonstrated varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. According to Sensor Tower data, here's how the leading apps fared.

Volz saw a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, starting from 18.3K at the beginning of April and declining to 9.9K by mid-June before recovering to 14.1K by the end of the quarter. The app's weekly active users followed a similar pattern, peaking at over 33K in early May before gradually reducing to 27.3K by the end of June.

MAHATATI experienced a significant drop in downloads early in the quarter, from 21K to about 7.3K, but rebounded to 13.7K by the end of June. Active users showed a notable increase, rising from 128.8K to 133.1K throughout the quarter, despite some fluctuations.

Google Earth maintained a consistent presence with weekly downloads hovering around 9K to 14K. Its active user base was robust, starting at 494.5K and reaching a high of 536K by the end of June.

For Instabridge: WiFi Hotspot Map, weekly downloads increased steadily from 10.8K to 16K. Active users saw a dip in the first half of the quarter but recovered to 58.6K by the end.

Lastly, GPS Map Driving Directions displayed a sharp increase in downloads mid-quarter, peaking at 24.6K in early May before declining to 5.2K by June end. Active users mirrored this trend, rising from 5.7K to 29.6K before settling at 23.9K.
